The left side of the breechblock is marked "-MANUFACTURED BY THE-/ MARBLE SAFETY AXE CO./ -GLADSTONE, MICH.U.S.A.-/ MARBLE ARMS & MFG. CO./ SUCCESSOR", with "CALIBERS - 22&44" marked within an oblong panel on the right side of the ejector. Left side of the frame is marked "GAME GETTER" in stylized characters, with "PATENT/ ALLOWED" within an oblong panel on the right. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, save for on the hammer assembly, which is case colored, as well as some small parts which exhibit a nitre blue finish. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered brown hard rubber grips; each marked with the encircled Marble's trademark logo at the top of the panel. Nickel plated under-folding buttstock. Fixed brass beaded blade front sight, flip-up U-notch rear sight, and tang mounted flip-up Marbles disc aperture rear sight. NFA registry lists "GAME GETTER" in the model block. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some patches of light to mild wear and thinning that are fading to gray patina, as well as small scattered spots of light surface oxidation overall. Rear grip strap shows small scattered patches of light oxidation. Hammer retains the majority of its vibrant case colored finish, exhibiting scattered spots of oxidation. Stock retains large amounts to the majority of its nickel plated finish, showing scattered spots and patches of light surface oxidation overall. Mirror shotgun bore, exhibiting some scattered spots of extremely light pitting. Very bright rifle bore, exhibiting some scattered spots of apparent hardened grease, while retaining strong rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show age related discoloration, as well as some superficial marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sound. PROVENANCE: Military Museum Collection of Shooters Outpost, Hooksett NH.
